Hey everyone! These are some pictures from my trip. I went to Africa where we stayed in Fes, Morocco as well as Marrakech.  The trip was amazing and I saw a lot of things I never thought I'd see in my life.  Mom and dad, when I get back I'll let you have a look at my journal so I can explain some of these pictures to you.  Hope everyone is doing well!

1/26/2008Today I officially traveled to the most beautiful places I have ever been in my life.  We went to Provence and first we visited Le Pont du Gard in Nimes that is an aqueduct built over 2000 years ago.  It was used to transport water to and from this old Roman city.  Although this was really cool to see, this was not the beautiful place I was talking about...after this we went to a city called Fontaine de Vaucluse (Below).  It's a town in a valley surrounded by huge mountains.  The Sorgue river runs through it and there are parts where it is very calm and rainforest-like and then a few yards up there are raging rapids and it looks like Colorado.  It was amazing to see how drastic the scenery and temperature could change in just a few steps, but every part of this town was breathtaking (literally the air was so fresh it made me never want to leave!)

Then we went to Les Baux de Provence which was on top of this huge cliff overlooking mountains (imagine the sound of music).  It didn't look too special until we walked off the bus and walked all the way up the cliff.  Inside these stone walls was this beautiful little village with cobblestone walkways overlooking Provence.  As you can see there was this amazing candy store there and as you can probably guess that was one of the highlights of my day ;) I felt so lucky to see these places, all day it felt as though I was looking at a painting!
Also, I'm sorry for all the typos I have in my blog, the internet cuts out a lot here and I try to type as fast as I can so I can get all this stuff up for everyone to see!
